The dashboard says a room is occupied but nobody is in it

A booking was deleted outright instead of being checked out, so the room was never released. A single audit command finds and fixes every room in that state.

Checking out or cancelling a booking releases its room automatically. Deleting the booking outright โ€” from the admin โ€” does not, and the room keeps the status it had.

Fixing it

Ask your administrator to run the room-status audit. It compares every room against its bookings and corrects the ones that disagree, so this does not need to be hunted room by room.

Avoiding it

Cancel bookings rather than deleting them. A cancelled booking releases the room, keeps the history, and can be explained later; a deleted one does none of those.
